Gould Street Generating Station
Challenge
Acquiring and remediating a 6-acre, 100-year-old generating station adjacent to the Baltimore Peninsula development. The plant required environmental cleanup and demolition to support future power infrastructure.
Solution
GRP Brownfields acquired the property from Exelon in December 2019 and cleared the site to make way for expanded power infrastructure, necessary to support the neighboring 235-acre mixed-use development.
Results
The project paved the way for critical infrastructure to support the Baltimore Peninsula’s growth, contributing to regional development and long-term energy sustainability.
