With over two-decades of experience in the commercial real estate industry, Jon has accrued a deep, working knowledge of the Baltimore-Washington Market and the various product types and players which comprise it.
Jon began his career as a leasing associate in Washington DC, working with GVA/Advantis in their Law Firm Practice Group and servicing other major institutions and clients of the firm. He then transitioned back to Baltimore where he joined the merchant developer Chesapeake Real Estate Group, which specialized in Urban Infill redevelopment and Class A Warehouse construction. In 2008 Jon joined Corporate Office Properties Trust (COPT) a leading office REIT based in Columbia, Maryland. Jon served on their asset management team with portfolio responsibilities which extended throughout the company’s Maryland portfolio. Jon later joined Colliers | Baltimore, to help grow their Landlord / Agency Practice Group, working on high profile assignments such as the leasing of Harbor Point in Baltimore’s Harbor. That work continued when Colliers | Baltimore was acquired by JLL and Jon transitioned to that platform.
In 2017 Jon left JLL to join Greenspring Realty Partners as a Director and was responsible for growth the firm’s third-party brokerage business. During that time, he represented several local and national clients in their commercial real estate needs. Working as a trusted real estate advisor, Jon worked closely with clients and various stakeholders to develop custom strategies to achieve targeted goals. Beginning in 2023, Jon now runs Greenspring’s Asset Management Practice where he seeks to retain and add value to the firms growing portfolio, while also servicing new and existing clients.
Jon graduated from the Gilman School in Baltimore and the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. He has a Masters Degree in Real Estate from the Hopkins Carey School of Business and serves on the Board of Trustees of Jubilee Baltimore and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation. Jon and his wife Samantha are the proud parents of three children and reside in Baltimore County.
